this web gallery is meant as a short demo

(thanks for checking it out! :))

the content you are seeing is usually physically hosted on a local Raspberry Pi tiny multipurpose computer, transmitting its own WiFi signal

this device is prepared as a network internet server, which is only one mode of work for pivilion

(&& this presentation is normally hosted on it)

we (and our collaborators or even totally anonymous authors) utilise this system (and its two modes - local & darknet) to organize:

• circumventing censorship (even state level ones)
• local community events
• low-budget / DIY pop-up galleries
• popularizing critical tech in art
• broadening own free/libre (non-profit) projects

the way you use the project is simple:

• follow our pivilion.net website for installation details
• setup your work via the pivilion gallery generator

• plug it into power anywhere you wish to host your work as a local network (and plug in a network cable or enter a WiFi pass if you want your gallery to be accessible via darknet)
• get a Rpi and other necessary equipment (WiFi/net, SD card, charger, PC keyboard+mouse and a screen)
